Machine Readable Visa

To Note: 

• General information applies to all visa categories. For specific information of different vis categories look at the relevant section.
• The Embassy has the right to ask for any additional document(s), at any stage, for scrutiny by the Consular Officer before rendering any service. The authority also reserves the right to reject any application or document at any time without ascertaining any reasons.

How to apply for visa?

• Fill up visa form and submit (if you face problem in uploading photo, leave it for us)
• Print the completed form
• Submit the printed copy of the visa application along with required documents to the Embassy [or email all documents at consular.thehague@mofa.gov.bd]
• Pay the visa fees via bank transfer or by PIN (at the Embassy)

Documents required

All visa applicants need to submit the following documents for applying visa to visit Bangladesh:

• Duly filled in Visa Application Form with 03 recently taken passport size colour photographs
• At least 06 months valid original Passport with two empty-pages, along with copy of the information page (other than Dutch, Croatian and Bosnian citizens have to submit residence permit or proof of residence issued by Dutch Authorities)
• Flight particulars/booking for visiting Bangladesh (confirmed ticket is not required).
• Applicants who are below 18 years old have to submit a written permission from his/her parents with their copies of Passports/IDs along with their birth certificate/municipality declaration (uittrekssel)

For Government Delegates/ Ambassador/ Diplomatic/ Other Embassy Officials

Required Document(s):

• Duly filled in Visa Application Form with 03 recently taken passport size colour photographs
• At least 06 months valid original Passport with two empty-pages, along with copy of the information page (other than Dutch, Croatian and Bosnian citizens have to submit residence permit or proof of residence issued by Dutch Authorities)
• Flight particulars/booking for visiting Bangladesh (confirmed ticket is not required).
• Applicants who are below 18 years old have to submit a written permission from his/her parents with their copies of Passports/IDs along with their birth certificate/municipality declaration (uittrekssel)
• Note Verbale

Validity of Visa:

• Applicable for the required period following diplomatic etiquette on the basis of Note.

Required Document(s):

• Invitation and Declaration letter from the concerned Business Company/ Organization both from Bangladesh and The Netherlands/ Europe.

Validity of Visa:

• Applicable for the required period following diplomatic etiquette on the basis of Note.

Remarks:

• If the visa needs to be extended, the Department of Immigration and Passports may extend the visa for a period of 3 (three) years on the condition of 06 (six) months stay with the required number of travel facilities based on the recommendation of the local sponsor and favorable police report.

Required Document(s):

• Invitation/ offer letter from concerned university/ college/school (educational institutions in Bangladesh.
• Declaration/ recommendation letter from university/ college/ school in the Netherlands.
• Bank guarantee.
• Introduction letter from employer/ school/ university.

Validity of Visa:

• 01 Year

Remarks:

• Recommendations from the concerned educational institution for extension of visa, sponsorship, certificate of the institution not working in the country and the Department of Immigration & Passport may issue full-time visas for full-time courses/internships on the basis of favorable reports from the Special Branch of the Police.

• Duly filled-in Tourist declaration form (can be collected from the Embassy or through e-mail)
• Invitation letter from Bangladesh along with copy of ID/ Passport of the person who invites or hotel reservation from Bangladesh.

Validity of Visa:

• 02 Months

Remarks:

• If the visa period needs to be extended, Department of the Immigration & Passport can extend the visa period up to 01 month on the basis of a favorable police report.

Required Document(s):

• Invitation organization in Bangladesh as well as the letter from the company/ organization in the Netherlands/ Europe.

Validity of Visa:

• 03 Months

Remarks:

• If the visa period needs to be extended, Department of the Immigration & Passport can extend the visa period up to 01 month on the basis of a favorable police report.

• letter from the NGO Affairs Bureau in Bangladesh.
• Contract letter between the Bangladeshi organization and the applicant/sending organization.

Validity of Visa:

• 03 Months

Remarks:

• In case of extension of visa, Department of Immigration and Passports may extend the validity of the visa, including multiple trips, on the basis of the work permit and security clearance of the NGO Bureau.

• Have to submit from of Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA) for Investment or letter from BIDA/ BEPZA for Employment.
• Invitation letter from the company in Bangladesh, along with contract.

Validity of Visa:

• 01 Year

Remarks:

• On the basis of BIDA/BEPZA’s credentials and security clearances, the recommendations and investments of the concerned organizations, including the documents in favor of the investment Department of Immigration & Passport can extend the visa for 05 years.

Required Document(s):

• Invitation letter from the respected organizations in Bangladesh.
• A letter or Note-Verbale from the Organization in The Netherlands/Europe.

Validity of Visa:

• Applicable for the required period on the basis of the note verbale.

Remarks:

• In accordance with the relevant institutional recommendations and international conventions with multiple travel facility for a full term of employment or a maximum of five years whichever is less.

• Need to fill-in F-I, F-II & List of equipment form (can be gathered from the Embassy or through e-mail),
• Invitation letter from the organizations in Bangladesh.
• Declaration letter with the description of purpose of the shooting, Shooting spot and draft shooting schedule.

Validity of Visa:

• 01 Month

Remarks:

• Mission will forward the application(s) to the concerned authorities in Bangladesh for necessary clearance. Mission can issue visa only after getting clearance from Dhaka.

• Family proof letter/ declaration from the Municipality/ relevant Authorities.

Validity of Visa:

• Depends on the category in which his/her family members intend to go to Bangladesh.

Remarks:

• Mission will forward the application(s) to the concerned authorities in Bangladesh for necessary clearance. Mission can issue visa only after getting clearance from Dhaka.
