Requirements for a new Electronic Passport (EPP)

Any Bangladeshi citizen who has a valid Machine Readable Passport (MRP) and NID or digital birth certificate (updated online) can apply for new E-PP (Electronic Passport) at the Bangladesh Embassy in The Hague. Please note that the applicant must be present in-person at the Embassy during the enrolment for providing biometrics. Prior appointment is mandatory for passport enrolment.

The following documents are required:

 Filled-in online application form (with bar code) printed copy (please visit www.epassport.gov.bd) [Please use Google Chrome browser]

 01 (one) set photocopy of existing valid Bangladesh Passport (informtaion pages of MRP/EPP) and original valid Bangladesh Passport

 Photocopy of applicant’s National ID Card and Digital Birth Certificate (including 17-digit number with a copy of online verification)

Photocopy of applicant’s residence permit (applicable for The Netherlands, Croatia and Bosnia & Herzegovina)

 Copy of valid Student enrolment copy and ID card for availing student discount. Applicable only for the regular students up to graduate level (University student) with valid enrolment and student ID card.

 Other relevant documents (marriage certificate, divorce certificate, notary public, Parents’ passports copies, NIDs, Birth Registration Certificates, Dual Nationality Certificates, etc.)

 Three copies of passport-size photos [size: 35X45 mm mm].

 If the applicant is a child/minor,  both parents’ passport copies and photos [size: 35X45 mm] are required.

 Proof of payment for E-PP to Embassy Bank Account (Payment is accepted at the Embassy by payment terminal/PIN or direct bank transfer)

Important Notice for Passport Collection:

– To collect the new issued passport, original previous MRP/ E-Passport is mandatory to bring. Without the previous passport, new passport will not be delivered.

– If the previous passport does not contain any valid visa, it will be punched during the delivery of the new passport.

– An authorization letter mentioning the authorized person’s details including copy of his passport is mandatory to collect the passport by any other person. To collect the passport of a family member, such as husband, wife, parents, children; an authorization letter is also required.

– To collect the passport of a minor child, authorization letters from both parents are required. If one parent wants to collect the passport, the other parent’s authorization letter is required.

– During the collection of the passport, signatures on the copies of the new and previous passports are required.

Passport issuance Fees:

– 10 year validity 48 pages regular delivery: 125 euro

– 10 year validity 48 pages express delivery: 175 euro

– 10 year validity 64 pages regular delivery: 175 euro

– 10 year validity 64 pages express  delivery: 225 euro

– 5 year validity 48 pages regular delivery: 100 euro

– 5 year validity 48 pages express delivery: 150 euro

For students (only for the regular students upto graduate level with valid enrolment and student ID card):

– 10 year validity 48 pages regular delivery: 65 euro

– 10 year validity 48 pages express delivery: 85 euro
