Bangladesh participated in 22nd Conference of States Parties to the Chemical Weapons Conventions

“It is the firm conviction of Bangladesh that the chemical weapons have no place in this century.”

 

Bangladesh once again reiterated her long-standing principled position towards the achievement of general and complete disarmament including the prohibition and elimination of all weapons of mass destruction and reaffirmed that the use of chemical weapons and toxic chemicals as a weapon anywhere by anyone and under any circumstances is reprehensible and completely contrary to the provisions of the Chemical Weapons Convention and all norms of international law.

 

The national statement of Bangladesh was delivered by Mr. Kazi Russel Pervez, Charge d’affaires & Alternate Permanent Representative of Bangladesh to the OPCW on 28 November 2017 at the Twenty-Second Conference of the States Parties to the Chemical Weapons Convention, The Hague, 27 November – 1 December 2017.
