Jute delegation from Bangladesh visits the Netherlands

Jute is not simply an item to trade, it is a mission for us. As world’s one of the most vulnerable countries due to climate related challenges, Bangladesh is investing a lot to promote this bio friendly products. As a continuaiton of this national effort, a six member delegation led by Secretary, Ministry of Textiles & Jute Mr. Md. Faizur Rahaman Chowdhury is visiting the Netherlands. The delegation discussed possible areas of collaboration with LC Packaging, NNZ and Eurojute.

We are highly optimistic to see unprecedented response from the Netherlands and aiming at undertaking more collaborative effort to promote jute here in the Netherlands and beyond.

Bangladesh Jute Mills Corporation (BJMC) is planning to import machinery for production of diversified jute goods including machinery for production of drinks from jute leaf, production of viscose from jute etc.
